About Faith

I’m Faith Mudge, a Queensland writer with a passion for fantasy, folk tales and mythology from all over the world – in fact, almost anything with a glimmer of the fantastical. I post regular reviews and articles here at Beyond the Dreamline, and also have unreliably updated presences on Tumblr and Goodreads. I can be contacted at faimudge[at]gmail[dot]com.

My stories have appeared in various anthologies, ranging from wronged sorceresses and wicked princesses to rebellious robots and cursed bookshops. Somewhere in the overcrowded menagerie of my brain, there are novels. I am even writing some of them.

  1. I read and enjoyed your story ‘Oracles’s Tower’ Faith.
Very glad to hear you are continuing with your writing.
Iam very proud of you, well done.

  2. Hi Faith!

I was hoping to be able to find a contact form, but couldn’t… I was wondering if you would mind if I posted my “read-along” notes of the 1,001 nights Burton translation on my own blog, with links to yours at the top of every post. I think it’d be a lot of fun to compare the translations, as you said, and maybe even get more people reading along as well. You can of course say no (I’m reading it anyway, but you started it first. 🙂 ) Just let me know! Don’t want to step on any toes. 🙂

    All the best!

    • Go ahead! As long as my posts are properly linked, my toes will be very comfortable indeed. It will be very interesting to see what differences there are, not only between the translations but between how we read the stories. Have fun!

  3. Hi Faith!

I’m planning to read some of my favourite YA short stories to my grade seven and eight students. One of those stories is “Signature” from “Kaleidoscope”. The idea is for students to pick their favourite and write a short letter to the author. Would you be willing to accept letters? If so, would you also be willing to write one back? (Just one general one to the class as a whole, if you have time at all. I know how busy you must be!)

I intend for us to read the stories this week and get letters out by the end of the month.

Please let me know if you’re interested!

    Thanks a million,
    Michelle

    • Hi Michelle,

Firstly – it’s an incredible honour to be asked! I could not be more delighted for ‘Signature’ to be used this way! When you say a short letter, do you mean as an email? Because if that’s the case, I’m very happy to receive letters and will certainly write back. I think it’s about time I set up contact information for this blog; you will find an email address on this page by the end of the day.

      All the best,
      Faith
